New Video and Mural

On Tuesday we sat down at posh computers and had full access to editing software, which meant we could have a go at editing all of our footage we have gathered! We have finished the video for augmented reality tshirts but we will be making a longer video for future reference and enjoyment :) all the video is need is titles and credits and then it will be completed and ready to go!

Also this week a group of young people have been working in Balintore, we have been painting a mural on a wall, which has been bare for a while and we wanted to make it exciting. So we projected images of young people from the area and then spray painted (with permission) the outline of each person. Then we got everyone to hep fill them in. The wall looks fantastic and it's not finished yet but it has brightened up the wall and is a lasting image of the youth from Balintore :)

Futuristic

Well here is our Augmented Reality Tshirt that we have come up with. When you scan the tshirt with the pairing app, our skateboard video will play in the dotted lines. We wanted to create a special digital piece for this project and this way we can wear the tshirts and show people what we have been upto. We can update the content whenever we want,so if we have new material that we would like to show of, it means people will be able to see it straight away. The image can also be used on other forms of material such a posters, social media and leaflets etc.

Interactive Materials

There are many activities within this project. Key to this is the game Marcus has been involved in developing. The game combies real world locations, puzzles and creative work by the group into an Augmented Reality Game (ARG) that all can play. A mock game card has been created to illustrate how real world elements are combined with virtual elements. The web address will not work. ‪

First Video Proof and Kevin

Here is some footage that we put together, so that we can see what it could look like. we will have more footage and we will then use the footage in up coming promotional activities, that we can't wait to show you.

Above is our finished logo of Kevin, drawn by one of our young persons. This logo will be then used in all projects or materials used. it means we can be recognised easily and use Kevin to spread the word about the project.

Film day #1

Well today was the first day of our shooting with our special guest Kevin and his skateboard! We had an early start and filmed at different locations throughout the morning. We took multiple footage of the same thing but from different angles so we can have exciting finished video! We filmed at three different locations today and will film at more in the next few weeks but we will use the footage from today to use in our up coming promotional material. It was really enjoyable because I gave us experience and practice in film making and will help with putting together  the different videos to create a final piece! Really looking forward to get started and show you guys the finished video, we also plan to create a short documentary style video later on,using all the shots we get over the next few weeks :)

Practice makes perfect

Here is a short bit of footage from Saturdays FlatLand Jam event. We had the opportunity to use some of our new equipment. This film shows what the camera can do, but also gives an idea of how much we have to learn... having new equipment means we have more opportunities to get creative and let us come up with some great ideas, that we all work on and make!

Kevin!

One of our young persons has come up with a design of our mascot Kevin.  We have made it into a digital image, so we can use it as our logo and for other ideas we have planned! This way we can use Kevin to advertise our Digiconn and help spread the word by just using him in various forms.
